Event Details

Spiced with first-hand experiences of the effects of global warming on oceans and mountains, this illustrated session will explore the importance of COP26 in Glasgow for the future of humanity. Come and discuss your own thoughts and conclusions, recognising the power we all have as consumers in a democracy.

The talk and discussion will be led by Edward Gildea, local green activist, whose  life changed as a result of his circumnavigation of the world in Clipper Around the World Yacht Races, which gave him a powerful connection to the planet. He now works with Christian Aid to raise awareness of climate justice ahead of the COP26, on which all our futures depend.
