Event Details

A family friendly day of pond dipping, wildlife walks, blackberry picking, autumn nature art and games, followed by campfire cooking. Possibly puppets and live music!

 There will be a demonstration  of conservation work, refreshments and lots of information on hedge planting, lambing, our solar panels, tree bog, wildlife corridors and the beneficial effects of sheep on soil health etc. 

The day will be rounded off at dusk with a bat walk, although the bats are not guaranteed!

Noakes Grove is a 9-acre nature reserve in Sewards End, near Saffron Walden, bought by Walden Countryside Community Interest Company in 2008. 

It can be accessed by foot across fields and meadows from Saffron Walden: just over 1 mile from the Tesco car park on the Radwinter Road. Walking instructions are available on the Walden Countryside website.
