Saturday 10 June
Summer times are back in town, in our meadow and woodland. Get your walking boots on and join our passionate nature insights facilitators for a fascinating trip in the world of trees, fungi, wildlife, birds, flowers and bees.
Check the buzz in our London woodlands and expect to be amazed by all the discoveries you will be guided through.
Summer is one of the nicest and most joyful times of the year for walking around our park. Let yourselves be immersed in and connected to nature.
To celebrate, open and welcome the Great Big Green Week at Morden Hall Park, on the 10th of June, we are organising two seasonal guided journeys into our green London oasis. The Great Big Green Week (10th-18th June) is the UK’s biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.
Be our guest into a moment of slowing down and witnessing the natural world performing a kaleidoscope of colour, sounds and textures. Let yourself be amazed by the wonders of a woodland and garden that are bursting with life and busying themselves into a new season of regeneration.
Join our Nature Group volunteers, Alison and Katherine, to experience this magical time of year, with a lot of different summer highlights to discover and see close-up. Binoculars and magnifiers will be your best assistants for the walk.
The focus of the walk could be on summer, trees, regeneration, fungi, birds, invertebrates, biodiversity…depending on nature and participants curiosity!
Come prepared for great times, a relaxed walk, wet or sunny weather and bring binoculars if you have some – if not, we will have some pairs if you would like to borrow.
Limited number of participants.
Booking essential.
Sat 10 June, 10.00am & 1.00pm
