Bearsted CAN invite you to join in local events during a national campaign of Great Big Green Week 24th Sept to 2nd Oct. Bearsted Climate Action Network is a community group bringing people together from Bearsted & the surrounding area who want to work together to face the Climate & Ecological Emergency.
Monday 26th Sept 7.30pm Vegetarian bring & share evening, Bearsted venue tbc
Friday 30th Sept 7pm University of Kent Guest Speaker event with Bearsted CAN speakers, Holy Cross Church
Bearsted CAN make a difference – hear about practical solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the global North to help those in the Global South. Free booking on eventbrite
Saturday 1st Oct 12.30 -4.30pm Repair Café Day including Bike Maintenance, Tools with a Mission, Holy Cross Church
Repair cafes are meeting places to repair things together. Matching up people who can help repair thing to tackle the throw away culture. If you are good at repairing your own stuff please volunteer to repair. Contact Bearsted CAN email to register as a volunteer
If you have broken things, please bring along things you would like to be repaired. Clothes, furniture, crockery, toys, electrical appliances. We will also have a bike maintenance stall run by Maidstone Cycle Forum so bring along your bike for basic bike maintenance
