Join the Environmental Funders Network, Global Generation and Kusuma Trust for an exploration of urban greening, its impacts, how to fund it and the funding needed to make these projects thrive.
Through the establishment of beautiful, naturally inspiring places, urban greening has the potential to radically help address the challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss and social fracturing. From boosted community cohesion and improvements in mental and physical health, to the creation of new habitats for animals, air pollution mitigation, carbon sequestration and the establishment of urban heat sinks; the benefits seem near endless, so what is holding us back? What’s needed to get projects off the ground? How can worthwhile projects be identified, replicated and/or scaled? How can funders support long term urban greening projects?
What to expect: a tour of Global Generation’s “Story Garden”, case studies from funders working in urban greening, an opportunity to network with other funders, and more.
Places are limited – please register by emailing oscar@greenfunders.org to avoid disappointment.
