Wallington will host a gathering of like-minded people and organisations working to celebrate climate action and nature recovery in a positive way. On the day, representatives from a number of conservation organisations, groups and individuals will share with visitors their fantastic ideas, actions and plans, as well as network with other local groups and organisations working towards shared goals of reducing the impact of climate change and inspiring others to do the same. Interactive stands, displays and information, things to do and ideas to take away. We will be sharing our own plans and ambitions around our Wilder Wallington project as well as sharing information and images of Northumberland’s first beaver family reintroduction, which took place on the Wallington estate in July 2023.

The National Trust will be hosting a variety of events to celebrate nature and climate action during Great Big Green Week 2024. From guided nature walks with our rangers, nature craft workshops, conservation activities, and climate action conversations. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.
You’ll be able to learn more about nature-friendly gardening techniques and planting to adapt to the changing climate and how we manage climate impact at the places we care for.
