Behind the Scenes Biomass Talk

Go behind the scenes inside the Biomass building at Hanbury Hall with Gardens & Outdoors Manager, Neil Cook, where he will deliver a special talk for Great Big Green Week on Wednesday 12 June at 11.30am.

In 2022 a new boiler room behind the Stableyard was built to house two biomass boilers. This renewable energy source generates heat by burning compressed wood pellets. The biomass boilers currently heat the Courtyard Kitchen, and over the next couple of years will be installed in the Hall, offering a renewable alternative to fossil fuels.

In this exclusive talk, Neil will delve into the history of the biomass site, excavation work and finds during construction, how biomass heating works, and future plans for heating Hanbury Hall.

Pre-booking essential. £5 per person, normal admission prices also apply.
