Climate Action Scorecards: How can we win support for further climate action?

Climate Emergency UK, along with the help of over 200 volunteers, created the Council Climate Action Scorecards to measure actions taken by UK councils to tackle the climate and ecological emergencies.

The Scorecards have a dual mission: enabling local residents to hold their councils to account and supporting councils to identify best practice from across the UK. Will you join us and find out how you can facilitate this process by encouraging local residents to explore the Scorecards results and support your council to identify how their climate action can be improved?

This session will cover:

– Examples of successful initiatives using the Scorecards to win further support for climate action.
– Advice and resources on how to hold a local Scorecards event and approach local politicians.

– A chance to connect with other campaigners from across the UK and learn from each other.

This event is a follow-up event for anyone with an interest in hosting a Scorecards event for your local area. Your facilitator will be Don, Outreach Director at Climate Emergency UK.
