Sunday 11 June

Community gardening

Join us to garden collectively in the award wining Community Garden at Duckmore Allotments.

This is one of our regular monthly open garden sessions, held on the second Sunday of each month, from 10am to 12 noon. All ages welcome – please come along and join us!

Things to bring: gardening gloves, hot/cold drink. If you have any gardening tools, bring along a couple of your choice. We also have some spares at the site. We stop for a coffee break and a chat at 11am.

The award winning Community Garden, in Duckmore Lane, started life as a forgotten and overgrown triangle of land in the corner of the allotments.   Tring in Transition, working with Tring Allotments Association, Tring Town Council, Tring WI and Dacorum Borough Council have transformed the site.

We are developing the site using permaculture and no dig principles. It’s low maintenance, wildlife and child friendly. You can find the garden on the right hand side just as you enter the allotments.
