HOW TO SUPPORT URBAN BIODIVERSITY - essential knowledge!

This is a ZOOM event. The on-line talk is richly illustrated and aims to impart the basics.

  • Why we need biodiversity if we are to survive as a species.
  • Why urban areas are so very important for biodiversity.
  • How urban areas can help biodiversity with a few simple alterations like low-cost, low-risk “greening” and a ban on unnecessary weedkillers and pesticides.
  • How residents of urban areas can assist their local biodiversity in fun and meaningful and satisfying ways.
  • What to do, what not to do, and what to look out for in new developments that will impact adversely on local wildlife and in turn, biodiversity, and how to get those aspects changed.

The talk will last about an hour, with time for questions. Unmissable for urban dwellers!
