In Conversation: Hugh Warwick

Join Hugh Warwick and find about his latest book Cull of the Wild.

Hugh Warwick is an ecologist, writer and hedgehog expert. He is the author of several books on hedgehogs and beavers and a number of other non-fiction narratives including Linescapes and The Beauty in the Beast.

He has written for BBC Wildlife, New Scientist, The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph, and is the spokesperson for the Hedgehog Preservation Society.

Hugh will share highlights and readings from his latest book “The Cull of the Wild” which explores the complex history of species control, revealing the global movement of species and the impacts of their presence.

Suitable for all ages.

Free with optional donation.

Doors will open 15 minutes before the start time for each talk and screening.

Access

The entrance to the Assembly Rooms has step free access. This event takes place on the  ground floor which has level access.

There are disabled toilets and baby changing facilities.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are allowed in the Assembly Rooms.

Disabled car parking

Bath and North East Somerset Council operates a Blue Badge scheme for disabled car users. They also recognise disabled permits issued by other counties.

The nearest Blue Badge parking is on Bennett Street, next to the Assembly Rooms.

Designated easy access parking bays are also available for Blue Badge holders in most city-centre car parks. The nearest short-stay car park with disabled parking is a 10 minute walk away on Charlotte Street, BA1 2NE.
