Meet Scotney Castle's butterfly man

See our butterfly surveyor in action in the walled garden and find out why we use wildlife surveyors. A nice add-on to your visit to Scotney, this drop-in session is a good opportunity to see a little of what goes on behind the scenes and chat with our knowledgeable and very lovely volunteer butterfly surveyor. He’ll be in the walled garden from 2-3pm.

This event is part of Scotney’s Great Big Green Week Festival and is included with your admission (free for NT members). There’s no need to reserve your place for this event but do please book your car parking via the Scotney website, NT app or by calling 0344 249 1895in advance to guarantee entry.

Satnav: TN3 8JN.

Once on the A21 please follow the brown tourist information signs with the National Trust oak leaf for Scotney Castle. Please note there is no access via Finchcocks, Goudhurst.

Parking
All visitors should book their parking in advance via the Scotney website or the NT app. You can book up to 9am on the day of your visit, subject to spaces being available. Accessible parking spaces are available. If you experience any difficulties booking online please call 0344 249 1895. Please note that if the car park is full and you have not reserved your parking space you will not be able to enter.
