Tuesday 14 May

Moth Breakfast

Visitors are invited to enjoy a feast for the body and soul as they explore the abundance of biodiversity at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, including the opportunity to catch a glimpse of some incredibly rare moths.

Attendees will start their experience with a light breakfast before setting off into the beautiful surroundings of Anne Hathaway’s Cottage to start spotting the myriad of rare breed moths that call Shottery home.

Eagle-eyed guests may even spot a rare Silver Cloud moth, which have been in decline in recent years but are thriving in the grounds thanks to the hard work of the team at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust through the Sustainable Shakespeare initiative.

Expert guide, David Brown will also be on hand to point out each moth species and why they prefer certain habitats.
