Nature & History Walk, Hare Hill Open Space

Come and join Senior Honorary Warden Kathy Miller for a walk around Hare Hill Open Space. Learn a little about the wildlife, biodiversity & history of this hidden green gem between Rowtown and Ottershaw. Find out how our volunteer group, in collaboration with Runnymede Borough Council, is maintaining and improving the Open Space for nature and people and how you can join the volunteers if you’d like to.

Meet at the entrance to the Open Space just off Howards Lane in Rowtown at 2pm. Please text me on 07860 122698 (or e-mail drkathymiller@aol.com) if you need more detailed direction or if you’re attending so I have an idea of numbers. Assistance dogs only please. Thank you & look forward to seeing you.

More about Runnymede Great Big Green Week

Runnymede Borough Council is joining forces with its local communities to celebrate Great Big Green Week in 2024. The Council’s objective is to expand the reach of events through engaging collaboratively with a wider number of local groups, seeking to organise an exciting and varied programme of activities.

So far, we are planning to re-run our Environment and Sustainability Photography Competition, Litter Picks, Nature Walks, Library Talks and many more initiatives supported by local schools, faith groups, community organisations, and individuals. If you would like to run an event in Runnymede, please email us as we would love to hear about your event and how the Council can support you.
