Friday 7 June

Turn the Tide

Turn the Tide is an event over three days from 7th – 9th June 2024. The 8th is our celebration of World Oceans Day AND the beginning of Great Big Green Week.

Our festivities promote Dawlish’s wonderful seaside location, coastline and waterways, with an emphasis on the need to care for our environment and our own wellbeing – healthy planet, healthy people. We feature environmental, sustainable and ethical charities, organisations and businesses in and around Devon, plus a large number of community groups (on 9th June).

Starting on the 7th June, 6 -8pm in the marquee on the lawn, a family-friendly (8yrs +)  premier production of an environmentally themed performance, by Troubadour Theatre. Bring your imagination and/or a picnic and meet the awesome  presenters and crew of a super cool new ‘reality TV show’ called “Whose Wild World?”

The performance portrays a fictitious reality TV show about the environment that doesn’t quite go to plan…..!

It will be funny, it will be engaging, it will make you think! It’s a world premier! Troubadour Theatre work with community groups, environmental organisations and individuals to bring original, grass roots theatre to you

The evening will finish with an opportunity to meet the cast and contribute your own ideas. In the Marquee on Dawlish Lawn. Tickets – £10 per adult, includes up to two free entries for children 16 and under. From Dawlish Manor House or WegotTickets

See you there!

On the 8th of June, we bring an 18m long whale to Dawlish lawn where children can immerse themselves in an experience of life under the waves. Other exhibitors include Exeter University, Devon Wildlife Trust, Art and Energy’s The Mossy Carpet, Sustainable Dawlish, The Environment Agency, The RNLI, Recycle Devon, The Shores of South Devon and Dawlish Against Plastic.
