Walk for Cleaner Water by the Sea

Join us for a scenic stroll along the beautiful South England Seaside at our “Walk for Cleaner Water by the sea” event! as we unite to support cleaner water initiatives.
🌍 Every small green action matters! I firmly believe that everyone can contribute to a healthier environment through small, everyday choices. This invigorating walk combines the joys of nature with the noble cause of environmental conservation. Your place is in this event if you would like to enhance your green skills and learn practical, eco-friendly practices.

Our Free Walk for Cleaner Water by the sea event is a part of the Great Big Green Week, the UK’s largest celebration aimed at motivating more people to adopt conscious daily green actions and protect nature. #GreatBigGreenWeek.

Scenic Beauty: Experience the breath taking vistas of the South England coastline as you walk alongside the sparkling waters. Breathe in the fresh sea air and immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings.

Environmental Awareness: Learn about the importance of clean water and its impact on marine ecosystems. Our knowledgeable guides will provide insights into local conservation efforts and ways you can contribute to safeguarding our precious natural resources.

Family-Friendly Fun: This event is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels, making it the perfect opportunity for families to enjoy a day out together. Children will delight in exploring the seaside environment and discovering the wonders of coastal life.

Program:

  • Walk down the Zig-Zag Path, through the park to Sandgate Castle, then continue to the Royal Military Canal in Hythe. Approximate 4 miles slow walk lasting 1.5-2 hours. We will have 3 stops, approximately every mile, where you can choose to finish if it suits you better.
  • Collecting litter along the way (not mandatory). We will provide bin bags and some rubber gloves, but it would be ideal if you could bring your own sustainable gloves.
  • Along the way, we’ll pause to reflect on the importance of clean water and discuss ways in which we can all contribute to its conservation.

Important Things to Remember:

  • Be on time to make the most out of this event.
  • Please remember to bring comfortable walking shoes, a refillable water bottle, and any other personal items you may need for the walk.
  • Additionally, consider using public transportation to minimize our environmental footprint.
  • Sharing is caring! Invite your friends and family.
