South Glos is warming up for this year’s Great Big Green week. There’s a lot going on this year to celebrate nature and sustainable communities across the region.

- 08 June – Great Big Green Week Community Kickoff Event in Kingswood Park, 10am – 3pm. Organised by Southern Brooks Community Partnerships.

- 07 June – BBQ to launch a community garden initiative in Charlton Hayes, Patchway, 5-7pm. Organised by Southern Brooks Community Partnerships.
- 13 June – The Plastic Warrior film screening. Lovell Place Care Home 6.30 – 8.30pm. Organised by Southern Brooks Community Partnerships.
- 15 June – Frome Valley Pollinator Pathway Community Nature Celebration. St Michael’s Rooms on the High Street, Winterbourne, 1-3pm. Organised by St Michael’s Eco Church and the Frome Valley Growing Project.
- 16 June – Clean-up day. Mundy Playing Field, 10.30am. Event organised by Thornbury Town Council. More information on their website.
- Patchway Parade Community Planting Day. We will be replanting the green spaces in Patchway parade (date TBC).
- “The Rubbish Workshop” given to year 6 classes around Patchway. Various times. Organised by Southern Brooks Community Partnerships Love Your Patch project.
